Basil almond pesto


Simple to make, pesto is great for a number of dishes – add to veggies or salads, eggs on toast, pancakes, stirred through pasta or rice, as a topping for baked fish or chicken, or used as a dip.

The garlic is antibiotic, lemon provides Vit C, nuts & oil provide essential fats to reduce inflammation and keep the skin supple in winter. The basil is rich in iron, calcium and many other minerals to support healthy cellular function.

Blend the following ingredients together –

1 large clove garlic
1 cup almonds
4 packed cups of basil
1 cup olive oil
1 lemon juiced
Plenty of sea salt & pepper
