Miso is a fermented food, which makes it good for digestion and therefore immune health. You can buy miso paste from the health shop – either soy or brown rice based. The paste gives you better value for money, although the individual sachets can be convenient for carrying around. It is a great filler if you need a little something between meals, its saltiness is really nourishing.
PS – I also use the paste as a spread (think healthy vegemite!), or in dips, as well as making a soup with veg, tofu and seaweed for a meal.
Boil water then let it cool for a few minutes
Add heaped teaspoon of miso paste to a mug
Pour water on top and stir until dissolved
